I asked her whether they will pay for the new set of dentures my mother is planning to have, the lady said "Yes it is covered sir!", then she told me I will get another confirmation call and I should say "I agree" and they will send me the documents by courier and ended the call. I need to pay just 13K and that too in 12 EMIs and I can claim around 20K+ for my mothers implant dentures even before paying the whole premium!!! I told to myself logically this should be impossible so wanted to know more about the product. Sometime later a guy called and told me he needs a confirmation from me to block 13K on my credit card, I told I cant confirm because I dont have clarity about the product. Within no time the lady who called me first called again and started scolding me for not confirming and abruptly cut the call when I started talking, she was very rude. The next day some other guy called me from hyderabad regarding the same offer, I turned down saying I am not happy with the staff attitude so I am not going for the product. I thought everything ended here but to my surprise the same day a manager from ICICI called me asking about the , problem I faced talking to their executive I narrated the whole story to him and also unearthed a truth from him that dentures are not covered under the policy!! (hurray.... I am not a fool!). When he got to know that I am not convinced he redirected the call to some other manager (in chennai, a lady), I had to again narrate the whole story to her, she started to cover up the staff attitude issue by asking me what exactly I wanted to know about the policy, I told her I want a document where I can know their terms and conditions for which she said it is not possible to provide such a document for one customer. When she got to know I would not buy the product without checking their terms and conditions she ended the call making a statement out of the blue "If you dont have money to pay then you should have told me earlier !!!" . Then and there I decided I would never go for ICICI lombard products. This happened almost a month back and even now I get calls regarding the same product, I am pissed off to such an extent that when I hear ICICI from the other end and if it is from a telemarketer I just say "I am not interested, thank you!" and cut the call instantly.
