Here’s an important thing you must know when you avail any insurance plan from ICICI Lombard. I feel cheated and that is why I want to share this information with you.
AT the time you take a insurance plan from ICICI, they will offer you to charge the EMI to your credit card. But here’s the hidden thing. You will be charged interest and service tax additional to this EMI. You will have to bear the burden for this interest charge every month. If you call later and ask ICICI, they will say that it is a part of terms and conditions. So, either opt to pay cash or direct bank debit, but dont let the insurance EMI charge to your credit card.
I have attached the snapshot of my ICICI credit card charge statement where you can see the interest charged to EMI. I am not sure about how other health plans operate
