Very Poor Service

I had purchased the ICICI Lombard health insurance in last week of Jan, 08. Policy email came within one working day and the policy itself came in 5 days from Mumbai.


I purchased the same because ICICI Lombard offered good rates and had a comprehensive policy compared to other health insurance players. Some of them have restriction on the bed charges atc.


But the real pain started when I wanted to use the free medical check up coupon. I was unable to connect via the toll free number. I then tried using the non toll free and number the call centre person told me that they will call me back in 2 working days. nobody called and this happened 3 times.


I called local ICICI Lombard and was told my policy has been issued by Mumbai so they cannot take care of it despite me telling them that I booked this policy from Bangalore.


I finally had a chat with an customer care person online via their website and he told me to email


insuranceonline@icicilombard.com and I did the same thereating to cancel the policy. I got a call next day scheduling my apointment with a nearby clinic. They only have 3 clinic options you can choose from in Bangalore.


Overall I would recommend this product online if you buy the same through an agent who can help you through the poor customer service ICICI Lombard offers.
