I am holding a ICICI Lombard Health insurance from last 3 yrs, Policy no- 4034i/FPP/04600817/01/000, Card no- IHPN-06362115/01.
On 12-May-12 suddenly in the night some chronic pain occurs in my stomach, at that time I was alone at home. I took an taxi & go the Fortis Health Care Mohali (15 KM away from my home). I showed my card to the staff but they denied to do the cash less treatment, they said they can’t do the same, you have to pay for your treatment, In the morning if they will get an approval from Lombard peoples then they will refund my money & as per their feedback in 99% cases Lombard is rejecting their claims.
At that time I was not having any money with me, I have requested to the staff that I am badly suffering from pain pls admit me & do the treatment but they denied. After this I have called to the ICICI Lombard customer care many times but they just give some silly excuses & said they can’t do anything in this regard, I said pls share some other hospital details from which I can cashless facility as I am badly suffering from pain & they reply was they don’t know in this regard.
Then again I took the taxi from Fortis in the midnight & go the IVY Hospital Mohali, Here also they told me the same problem & denied to the cashless treatment
At that time I was about to die due to chronic pain & I fell to the ground in the parking, the taxi driver took me to the Sector- 32 Govt Hospital, here I was admitted in emergency for 2 days.
This was the 1st time in 3 yrs when I am going to use this card, which can’t happen due to Lombard cheating procedures, Also I have never utilized the coupons which was sent with the policy. Wasted my money for 4 yrs.
Now the question is that what is the benefit of taking ICICI Lombard Health Insurance, these peoples are just fooling the customers by selling these fake deals.
When someone comes to the hospital in the midnight that means there is some serious problem, nobody wants to go to hospital for fun purpose.
ICICI Lombard is such a big company and they are doing these types of frauds.
Trust me : It was very Pathetic situation.
