I had two old ULIP policies of ICICI Prudential taken around 2007. An ICICI Pru employee came and told me to withdraw from them and start new. Old policies have very nominal annual charges. He promised that no charges(commissions and admin charges etc) will be cut on transfer. He LIED. By the time I realized that they had cut their usual charges and I requested for a closure of the policy they said that they will not return my money. For last three years I am sending them what their employee did but they have refused to return the money. All ICICI Prudential sales people I have met and who have tried to sell me policies have LIED TO ME and never kept their promises, including the 2007 agent(who was also an employee) and the person who made me take the policy in 2014. Another employee who contacted me last year tried to do the same thing. All their sales people are LIERS. Don’t buy policies from them ICICI Prudential. Forget agents, their EMPLOYEES THEMSELVES LIE.
Instead take TERM INSURANCE online, save in PPF and invest rest of the money in Mutual Funds using SIP etc.
