I have taken ICICI Prudential pension plan(monthly 1000 Rs) in Oct 2009. But I couldn’t find it useful and request them to close it, but they told me atleast for one year you have to carry or you stop making payments, your policy will automatically inactivated. I did the same and in Jan 2010 policy was inactivated. After January there was sufficient balance in my account but no ECS was deducted. Suddenly on 02- Jul- 2010, 6000 rs were deducted from my account without any intimation. When asked to Prudential customer care they did not give me any satisfactory answer.
My doubt is, if my policy is inactivated then how they can deduct the amount without asking me. It is very unethical and unprofessional behavior if some one of you can help me getting my money back please suggest. Otherwise anyway I have planned to go in consumer court.
Now the bad part is, on 07-Jul-2010 morning I got an SMS saying your policy is activated. This was also not informed. When I asked in Customer Care, twice they cut the phone in between. Finally third time they logged a complain for giving my money back in 6 working days and joke of the year is "the reason for deduction" they mentioned Due to a technical problem the amount was deducted" .
I strongly suggest please don’t buy any product of ICICI Pru. You may put yourself in trouble.

Today 6 days have past, when I called up customer care for my money, he told me " Sir we had requested the credit in your account but your bank rejected it". So we have to again go through entire process again and it would take more 6 working days.
They are unable to give me any reason behind, why bank doesn’t want to credit in my my account.
.I will continue posting on the same review until I get my money back:-). Please share this with everyone you know.
I hope ICICI officers and managers are making note of it.
