Hi
I have been using ICICIDirect for couple of years now, for trading in stocks and mutual funds. Stock trading has been OK (with some minor problems). Trading in Mutual funds has been real bad experience. There are many problems with mutual fund section.
Problems:
Each mutual fund does not send you Holding statement, which normally comes whenever there is a transaction
You dont have folio-account number so that you can call MF house for queries.
In case of problems, only number that you can call is ICICIs junta number and you know how much these guys know about banking (forget mutual funds)...
For tax-returns all you can attach are printouts, it can not be counted as semi-proof.
if website is down(it is sometimes) you can not do anything, there is no physical counter part
Basically you are lost..and helpless
Better go to a physical broker for Mutual funds
Regards
