I have been a customer with ICICI direct for close to 4 years now and my experience with them has been above average. Although, they charge you Ill more than other service providers like sharekhan, indiabulls etc, but then the depth of knowledge with this bank is much better. I have been reading their stock tips as well as market research and have found them quite useful.
Their website provides quite a lot of information free of charge which is not the case with many others like sharekhan, moneycontrol etc. Their are few problems with the website design as such but I hope bank would do away with them soon. One of them being the password change policy within 15 days. Response time being quite slow. Allocation of funds facility not available during night time (this could be temporary problem which I faces in last week) .
One of the major problem which bank faces in recent past was to get the information of all their account holders after Mumbai flood. Not sure, if this was the actual reason, but I feel that genuine customers should be supportive in such cases.
