Hi folks....i hold an account with icicidirect since the past 2.5yrs...n I must say it stands out as the most easy to navigate and fast trading site u wld ever come across....
when I started to look around for a trading/demat act I thought abt goin to sharekhan but then the shoddy experience my dad had while dealing with them prevented me frm doing so...hence I opted for icici as I already had a savings act with them....initially the site used to be too slow...u cldnt trade till 10.45 am in the morning...whenever I placed orders at 10am they showed up in queued status till 10.45 am...the customer care had no answers...i was thinking to move to some other site but then icici started doing backend work during the time when markets were closed...
n today i must say that when I place an order at 10am it immediately shows up in the ordered status...shares get credited promptly unlike sharekhan where my dad didnt used to get shares in his act for 10-15 days at all.....money gets deposited promptly too....the work these icici technical guys have done in the past 1yr has really paid off...now apart frm their brokerage charges which r perhaps the highest in the market (it comes to 0.91% in total) I dnt find any flaw in their site...the other day my frn wanted to sell his shares in the IPO on the first day n we spent 15min in navigating sharekhan site looking for the shares 2 sell...at that pt of time he realised hw important the design of a trading site can be to a user.......
in all its far ahead of the competitors......
