Motive 1:

i think icicidirect has a tie in with corporates, so that investers are locked in and cant sell their shares, whenever the markets starts going down. I have experienced it at several times.
There is simply no other reason why the same pathetic performance can continue after these many years in service.
some time back they had a massive maintainance schedule...but nothing changed. they came back to restricting more view options.
i am trying to sell a share coz markets are up and I get a server error.
often I see code being dumped out on the screen. I think they just got a website implelmented by a couple of college kids. there must be distinction made between a site that handles money of thouands of people and a college software project.
they wouldnt allow one to see their portfolio details: I am trying to sell a part shares, but I cant look up history to see how much I bought them for. ridiculous
motive 2:

maybe a rival company has bribed the top software implementor at icicidirect to purposefully put in these issues in software. wow ! did I hit a jackpot here?
front end is asp.. back end is some J2EE... I am sure the coupling is like very badly architected.
advice to icici: get some quality people to implement the software. dont say its internet ...so page not found / server error is somethign I have to live with and the fault is with my slow speed connection.. which is btw 256 kbps.
