My sincere advice to all the young internet savy traders to stay away from icicidirect. Inspite of constant complaints there is no sign of improvement on the following problems. 1. Atleast once in a day when its peak time to sell/buy the site will be down with the message that ’’users have exceeded the configured limit’’. 2. On 18th, 19th and 20th July the site was dead for almost half the trading time. Even the Call and Trade facility was down on 19th July 2005. 3. On 20th July at 3:06 pm icicidirect was showing sor SBI Equity as 725.80 as LTP when the NSE actual price was 706.30 as verified on https://nseindia.com. THIS SHOWS THAT ICICIDIRECT HAS NO CARE TO THEIR CLIENTS MONEY. ABOVE THIS IT HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST BROKERAGE. 4. Its mentioned in the terms and condistions that ’’Limitation of Liability Under no circumstances shall ICICI Web Trade be liable to the Client for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from or in connection with the Facility provided to the Client, even if ICICI Web Trade have been advised of the possibility of such damages, such as, but not limited to, loss of revenue or anticipated profits or lost business. Force Majeure: ICICI Web Trade shall not be liable for any failure to perform any of its obligations under this Agreement if the performance is prevented, hindered or delayed by a Force Majeure event (defined below) and in such case its obligations shall be suspended for so long as the Force Majeure Event continues (provided that this shall not prevent the accrual of interest on a principal amount which would have been payable but for this provision). “Force Majeure Event” means any event due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of ICICI Web Trade, including, without limitation, unavailability of any communication system, equipment or software malfunction, accident, power failure, breakdown or interruption or delay or any technical flaw in the Website or computer systems or communication lines or equipment, sabotage, fire, flood, explosion, acts of God, civil commotion, strikes or industrial action of any kind, riots, insurrection, war or acts of government. ’’.
