If you are a nifty trader (intraday or positional_, then stay away from ICICIDirect. This site has big time connectivity problems. Recently during the highly volatile times of September/October, getting access to ICICIDirect was like a lottery ticket.
Morning times market opening, you are unable to login. First 10-15 mnts, it gives some errors and by this time the market has moved so much, that by the time you get access all you are left with is deep losses. Who will compensate for this loss?
It seems ICICIDirect tries to offload its shares/positions during market opening times at the cost of access to individual and retail investors. And besides this their charges and brokerages are not cheap at all. Then why this sub optimal service?
