I was in Bombay a year ago and bought a pair of shoes for my marriage. I did not go searching for iD shoes but just that I liked the design and bought it for around 2300 Rs. It was bought from a Bata showroom in Vila Parle. Dont have the receipt. It was expensive for the model but I did not have the time so ended up buying it. I wore it for a day on my marriage and stored it safely, just like I stored my many other shoes. 6 months later, coming back from abroad, I wanted to use this shoes. I wore it on flight and in 2 days, I can see the sole breaking into numerous pieces. I had to buy another shoe in Europe and in just 2 days.
BOTH soles broke into pieces that the trail was left behind whereever I wanked around in office campus. I had to buy another pait for around 45 euros to wear during the rest of my stay. I should not have brought it back to India for a repair, but then I did. I visit the shop in my home town, Tuticorin, and explain the situation, though they were not selling iD. They said it is normal as I must wear it continously to avoid this. This is something different from other shoes that I own. It came as a shock. I then told them to fix and I paid for it and got the sole down. Now, I am 1 week in Shanghai and the leather is cracking!!!! I am sure I have to buy another one here. Am sure I wont bring it back into India this time.
Shoe was heavy and it was freaking expensive. Never knew that shoe soles can start chipping in smooth european roads if stored for 6 months. Never knew that leather surface can start cracking everywhere. This is one unique kind of a shoe meant to be bought for exhorbitant price and use it quickly for probably a month and throw it away and buy again from these morons!!
I strongly suggest no one to buy this, not even my dreadest enemy, if any..
