I have held a number with Idea for the past couple of years. I started off with idea when I was in college and wanted the cheapest option available. But as Idea has acquired new customers, the service, network, customer care.in short, everything, has gone from bad to worse! I can’t think of one day when I could connect to a number directly without redialling. As for customer care, I think the cleaning lady at my apartment could do better.
I have had to dial atleast 25 times before being able to talk to a customer care associate(usually with an IQ of 10!), and when I do get through, I have a hard time trying to make them go beyond their scripted responses.
And the latest idiosyncracy that Idea has come up with is that messages do not go to select numbers! It sends messages to select STD Airtel numbers and refuses to send to others!
How would I rate Idea as a whole? Maybe lower than poor, but that’s the lowest Mouthshut will allow!
