Idea Mobile Operator

HI,

First of all lemme tell u , this review is from my personal (family) experience and few of my friends.

there are four members in our family, each having his/her own phone with hutch, hutch, airtel and dolphin.

one day my father ( having airtel prepaid) got a call from idea asking to change the service from airtel to idea postpaid. My father rejected, as he only believes in prepaid. then they started telling bout a prepaid scheme which was....

1. last 6 digit of ur phone will remain same.

   
   




2. call on ur existing number will b forwarded to ur idea number for 6 months for free.

   
   




3. it will b a prepaid connection and u will get rs. 250 balance after paying 500 as initial amt.

   
   




4. you can suspend the connection upto one month and ur money wil b refunded (after deducting usage )

   
   




5. low call charges etc...etc

   
   

then my father agreed...now what heppend was not expected from a company like idea.....

nxt day executive came, confirmed the scheme which was told to us on phone and gave the sim card. he also gave a personel number to contact in case of any problem.

Now to our astonishment.....

1. it was not the prepaid connection, it was post paid

   
   




2. the number had only 4 last digits same.(earlier they said 6)

   
   




3. no calls were being forwarded.

   
   




4. number given by the executive was fake, (though it was on the business card )

   
   




5. when we called idea care they said- there is no such scheme you have opt for...

   
   




6. all what they could do was - dissconnection of number. ( without refund)

   
   

to this we agreed, we thought to sue them but we neither had any proof nor we had any time.

i have written this review just to aware you all to not to listen and agree to such calls, like we did.
