I am writing this review to share my experiences and my expectations from Idea Customare care team.
I bought Idea Pre paid connection and gave it to my parents who stays at Uttaranchal. couple of days back suddenly I heard a Dialer ring tone, when I dialed their no. When I inquired, even they were not aware... this is the second time it dialer tone was assigned to their no.
Earlier when I tried to approach idea in Dec 09, they told me that "These ring tomes are assigned afetr getting consent and approval from individuals", but by question is idea invests a lot in advancing these services that. A phone rings you take the call, the automatic voice comes. Even if by mistake an individual clicks the wrong button. This ringtone is assigned. These is no cross verification or confirmation donr by call centre individuals, who can otherwise can make 100’s of call for any offer.
I believe idea needs to review this "REVENUE GENERATION" process, which is impacting millions of innocent users (~35 INR is charged for this from the users, which is hard earned money and at times the user is not aware about this).
My 2nd concern is regarding the customer care no "12345", since morning I am trying to contact analyst at this no but its very hard except the repetitive message that "this will be paid service after MMDDYYYY...", my concern is this automated message takes more than 2-3 minutes and even after that not connecting to individual but "All our staff is busy right now "and disconnecting, I might have done 15-20 calls since morning. Just imagine if it were a paid service, idea would have earned out of this also.
I would request responsible authorities, to ensure that proper infrastructure is in place before the new instructions/ or services are converted into paid services.
