Idea Mobile Operator

Greetings folks.

Today I aim to dissect Idea Cellular. In particular, Idea kerala , that has just taken over the immensely successful Escotel mobile communications.

Then:

First let me say that I have been a subscriber to escotel for over 2 years.. In the land of everchanging tarrifs and seductive free talktime-sms plans, I must admit , ( BPL/Airtel ) it was a challenge to stick to this.

Escotel offered validity top ups along with the recharge so, every time you recharge for say 600 ( 45 days ) , you get 600 rs and 45 days added on. This wonderful scheme has been a lifesaver in mycase anyway. ( My card is valid for 1 year now)

Now:

Welcome to IDEA Cellular. Escotel will now be known as IDea. ( in 2/3 languages )

. Yup, this is the crappy screechy greeting you hear every time you call up their helpline now. It sounds like a cat being torured ( dial 500 from your idea kerala phones to hear this for yourselves )

1. The lines are ALWAYS BUSY

   
   




2. Even when they are not busy they are BUSY

   
   




3. The help line is ALWAYS BUSY! ( I wonder why??? )

   
   




4. When I make STD calls, the call connects but I cant hear anything. So I get

   
   

charged and I cant talk!

1. I tried to complain about this but refer to point 1 and point 2.

   
   




2. What ever was good in the company, idea has turned it out to be bad.

   
   

The crappy branding message sounds so f**ked up that you go mad listening to it even when you are trying to get their helpline.

1. When I try to make a call , I get the message, ’’ Your balance is running low..., please recharge immediately...’’

ok, simple solution eh?

When I try to recharge (dial 457) I get the message -- this service is not available now!!!! WOW , talk about the short end of a stick!!!

1. I cant call helpline. bcos ’’All lines to this route are busy....’’

   
   




2. I cant make calls properly. I cant recharge my phone. I cant call cust care. What the hell can I do?

IDEA is planning to introduce EDGE. They cannot get normal services working and they plan to introduce Enhanced services
