I recently ported from Vodafone to Idea a few weeks back.
The reason for porting was that I already had another Vodafone number that was provided to me by my company so decided to switch my personal from Vodafone to Idea Postpaid.
And since in Idea postpaid there was a good plan at Rs 375 so thought of trying it out.
From that day on wards till date I am regretting my decision why I made such a wrong decision.
Here are few reasons why,
- The IDEA 3G network is the worst 3G I have ever used.Any 2G service of other company is better than Idea. From today morning I am trying to send a screenshot image to my friend and it has still not been delivered.only option of retry keeps coming up again.
Never thought that sending an image would be such a difficult task in a 3G network where there is full network range.
During travel forget using IDEA’s data plan has already in full network range they are poor then while you travel the data keeps getting ON and OFF quite consistently.
The Customer Service, it feels like they have kept few dumb people to service there, a) Most of the times even selecting language as English you get a representative who speaks only Hindi. b) Once I received a call from one of their customer care to take miss call alert plan I said I don’t want it, but she continuously kept on insisting sir please take it.In-spite of busy schedule we take these calls and getting such stupid requests irritates you more.
Be aware sometimes they start any plan by themselves and just send you a message that this service is activated, and when you call them to deactivate it, they will say pro rate based charges will be applicable.
Means they activate it themselves and even charge you for no reason.
I am now just waiting for the coming weekend where I will try to go to Vodafone store and remove this poor IDea connection.
My recommendation to anyone.their ads may seem attractive but their service isn’t of any quality.
