Sending legal notice to harass customers, “WHAT AN IDEA, SirJI” Idea is harassing cutomers by sending legal notice. I have disconnected my Spice connection (Now Idea) in October 2008 by paying full amount due on it, since I was not getting proper coverage in brook field area.
But last week, I received a legal notice telling me to clear the dues. When I contacted customer care, they told me that they don’t keep record for closed connections, and asked me to contact the place, where I made payment. When I went there, they told me that I have not made the payment, if I have made they are asking me to show the proof.
Then I told them this is outrageous, since they are asking for proof after 5 months. Besides they are telling, if I make the payment again also, they won’t issue no dues certificate, but they will simply issue a receipt for the payment made.
Then I went back checked all my records and found that the payment was made thro debit card, so I took the statement to Idea outlet and showed them that I have made the payment. Now they are telling, the system is not showing the payment and they will raise the complaint to the HQ.
