Finally my number was ported from BSNL to Idea on 23/Jul/2014. I think the problem was with BSNL. I had registered my complaint on 18/Jul/2014 on BSNL site here:

Got response after 3-4 days that the number has been ported to Idea on 21/Jul/2014.

I applied for MNP(mobile number portability) from BSNL number 9420861479 to Idea at Idea’s Customer Centre at Karve Nagar, Pune on 2-Jul-2014. Even after 12 days today(15-Jul-2014) the porting is not yet done. MNP normally is done in 7 days.
My current BSNL number is pre-paid, so the problem is not likely to be on BSNL side.
I contacted Idea customer centre on 12-Jul-2014. I was told that porting is in process and will be done in 1-2 days. I also sent an email to Idea Maharashtra office(ccare.mh@idea.adityabirla.com) yesterday but have not received any reply.
