Never go for Idea cellular, their idea will make you live in hell.
I am using Idea mobile since August 2011 and 3G for some months. Idea says ‘an idea can change your life’, this is absolutely right, they can make your life hectic and bankrupt too, because they take all their money and don’t give service. I have been complaining about low speed in 3G services for more than a month now. Every time when I post something on Idea Facebook page they register a complaint and after some days, they sent a message mentioning your complaint been resolved, but there will not be any resolution.
Now they have another tactics, whenever you call 198 to register any complaint they simply say call on 12345 which is chargeable. This way they are reducing the complaints and making more money by registering complaints too (through 12345). Today (March 24, 2012) I had called them 5 times both 12345 and 198, no one were able to solve my issue. Every time when I call 198 they ask to contact 12345, when called on them, they asked to call different department. Their IVR never give correct department. What a stupidity? I never have seen such a customer care system. Worst, there is no word in English to explain their standards.
This company is the best example for unprofessionally managed company. None of their executives (Cannot be called executives, some illiterate stupid) speaks proper English. In IVR you get English option, but when you want to speak to some, they speak only Hindi. They simply argue with you for nothing, they don’t want to register complaint, even though there is no resolution for the same. They are spending millions on degraded advertisement, they are degrading Indian population, and this is another way of insulting entire population. Government should ban their advertisement. Abhishek bachan should not do such advertisement. Now it’s the time to say good bye to Idea, we do not need their idea to change our life. So please spread this word and say no to idea
IDEA cellular Charging for Balance Enquiry
I have taken an Idea Cellular connection yesterday (22nd March 2010), and wanted to check their service before using it like coverage etc. I had just Rs. 5 balance in my account since I have not charged the account.
I had an Anti Theft Mobile Tracking system in my mobile and when I changed the SIM I got an SMS from the Idea number and that was the only usage. Soon after getting the SIM I have checked the balance, it was Rs. 4. When I took the connection the shop keeper told me its is second billing, so wanted to know whether there is any additional charges for the same, so checked the balance again. It was shocking to understand that there was a deduction, and wanted to confirm the same. So I have used balance inquiry 4 times, and later I was unable to use it. The last time when I checked, the balance was Rs. 0. So contacted the customer care, they said they cannot identify for what the charges been made and asked to send an SMS to 55458 with the message ‘ADJ’.
The reply was there are no details available. And the usage message was for an SMS I sent.
I have again contacted the customer care, had a talk with an executive, she said the details are not available and asked me to send an SMS to 55458, I told her that I have already done it. The answer was, we are unable to provide it, no other solution, after having an argument for sometimes I have asked for a supervisor.
The supervisor also said the same that details are not available and will create a case and will be resolved by 27th March 2010-another 5 days to resolve. He again asked about the usage. I told him that there was only a single SMS and I have checked balance. Then the real matter came to picture. They were charging me for the balance inquiry.
Whenever we take a SIM, there are some numbers stored in it like Customer Care, Balance Inquiry, Recharge and some Value Added Services. And normally we use that number. This person told me that there is another number for balance inquiry which is free and this number which they added in the SIM as their balance inquiry number (50123) is chargeable. I use mobile since 2000, till today I have used many services but have ever heard a company is charging for just checking the balance. This may be the only company in India asking money for balance inquiry. I do not really understand why they are charging for this, what is the justification? This is our money with them, and whenever we wish to know we should.
So friends, raise voice by not opting Idea Cellular. Their Idea may change your life.
