Worst Service provider and customer support

Idea service has provided a CUG plan for our family where the rental is very low which is appreciable but the experience we faced with their attitude and response is the one factor which completely created a negative impact on them.


On one fine day the Customer Service lady called on my father’s mobile and asked for the activation of ’missed call alert’ service on our (my father, mother and my sister had CUG connection) mobiles and we need not pay any extra charges for it as it is a free service. My father is not interested in it and said very clearly that we do not need that service, but she insisted that it is free and ended the call.


After a few minutes we received a SMS stating that the service is activated and to unsubscribe we need to send a SMS again. So we all  unsubscribed the service from our respective mobiles and also received the confirmation that the service is unsubscribed. After a month we were shocked to see the mobile bill as it was 3 times more than the regular bill amount, because they charged 500/- more for the missed call alert service and insisted to pay it.


My father paid only the regular charges amount for which they disconnected the outgoing calls on all our 3 mobiles. We approached Customer Service through email and over phone but as usual no response. Then we sent a mail to their Appellete authority for which we received a msg stating that they are helpless and we need to pay the remaining amount to continue the service... This is how IDEA is working for its customers....I was using AIRTEL and faced a similar kind of issue, they really took 1 year to resolve the issue but never disconnected the service and did not loose the customer.


These IDEA people are really pathetic. They simply loot the money from the people by providing unwanted services... The most funniest thing is, if you opt for missed call alert service the msg goes like this - "1 missed call from XYZ" other wise it just displays "1 missed call"... that’s the only difference. How irresponsible are these Customer care people and their higher authorities.... if they continue in the same way.. surely one fine day they won’t see their name in top 100 service providers list...
