I took a post paid Idea connection in Pune. I also activated GPRS. After 2 weeks, suddenly I got a message asking me to pay 1585 rupees and then immediately my number was deactivated. I called customer care centers and they game me standard answer: I have to wait till the bill is generated. When I got bill, it showed that I had used 60 MB of GPRS which is charged at Rs 1200. So If I had used 1 GB then they would have given me a bill of Rs 20, 000.
Then I called my agent, he said I should have activated the 125 scheme which gives me 1 GB for Rs 125! This is daylight robbery and cheating. All customer wake up and if you have time, please take this matter to TRAI. We should not allow these kind rubbish schemes. Especially working people will not have the time to read 100s of schemes and deal with cheaters and scamsters.
