IFB 30SC2 is impractical and not durable.

Hi!

IFB 30SC2 is impractical and not durable. I bought this Convection Microwave oven for my home and it came with 2 years Warranty. This product is Engineered to last normally only with a minimum usage for 2 years. Microwave oven is a heavy electrical device and one that can cause Fire in your house is a stay away.

#1. User friendly: It’s user friendly. You’ve all the function that Microwave offer in at your tips and you have dedicated push button for all functions and it’s very easy to use Microwave oven but the button are not made to last. After an year of usage these button will pop off from the cheap polyethylene panel and you will see an ugly black button instead.  These will further lead to other buttons getting popping out in the same way and you will then soon seen the PCB board the Electronics board and you might get shock also. This’s not covered in Warranty and you’ve to pay to get this changed.

#2. Durability: It’s not at all durable. The Electronic panel in which all the operative button are provided has to be replaced every year with nominal use. Magnetron also will die before 2 year warranty if you have considerable usage if not then it will surely will die after 2 years even with minimal usage. I actually bought 2 piece of this Microwave 1 for my family and 1 for sister. Sister uses her Microwave regularly and her piece need Magnetron replacement and few other parts within warranty and for my microwave without much usage we had to get magnetron replaced. Magnetron’s the most important part of a microwave oven. It produces energy and radiates the energy into the cooking area where it is absorbed by the food. It cost around 5000 INR and Microwave that I bought was of 9500 INR, so replacing a part at 50% is very annoying and replaced brand new Magnetron only comes with a 6 months warranty.

#3. Handy: It’s not handy. It’s a big heavy box shaped Microwave and you’ve to provide a nice and dry place that’s not humid at all if short circuit could happen and a fire can start. It should be placed at a well ventilated place.

#4. Style & Design: It looks stylish but designed only to serve you for 2 years at max and then it is better to sell it and get a new because you have to get an annual maintenance is costly and you eventually have to pay more in a longer run than the cost of a new microwave.

#5. Service & Support: It’s good and you only have to telephone and you’ll get prompt service. Only thing is that it’s costly.

I advice not to buy this because you can get a better microwave that’s less pain to maintain.
