Although, we brought this one(IFB Microwave - Convection 20SC2) home amid a lot of expectations, it hasnt been used much. Initially, we did experiment a lot on this. But once my mom burnt a plastic utensil by accidentally putting the microwave on convection, this has been relegated to a corner in our kitchen.
This one was chosen by my sis and mum, and to be honest I dont like the look much. It has a complete metallic body - glassy look, which although looks sleek, does not really looksafe. For amateurs, I think theplastic look is more comfortable and appears more home appliance like - this has a serious industrial equipment like look.
This was one of the better models, it is faster, has more menu options and better power modes. But a serious drawback is that it is also noisy. I have not come across many models which create noise - during operation this gives a low hum that my mother gets anxious about. But the microwave itself has given us no trouble at all. It is now nearly 4 years old and works fine.
And yet my family does not find it comfortable to use. To be honest, I believe this model is more for the professionals - for use in hotels, bakeries, professional kitchens, since it is larger than regular models and also faster with higher power modes. Not for amateurs like us. Boo to the store guy, who sold this model to them.
