IFB Neptune Dish Washer

I purchased an IFB Dish washer on 2nd November 2008, the buying was preceded by some drama and apalling level of irresponsible behaviour from the dealership. I first went to check out the dish washer at the E-Zone outlet near my house. They had a demo model made of tranparent plastic, where one could see how a disheasher worked. After spending close to a day evaluating I homed in on the IFB Neptune only to be told, that they do not stock it ans it would be a 2-3 weeks wait before they could ship me one!


A stinker mail to IFB and a taunt got the IFB boys moving and I was aksed to pick my machine at a NExt outlet about 15km from my home- and this is what I did.


To be fair we have been using the machine quite extensively - atleast two cycles a day for 2 years, we have had to face the rotten service folks about 2 times in this period and each time was an ordeal to say the least with mutiple calls to follow-up; thank god, the machine has a 4 year warranty else I shudder to think what our fate would ahave been.


Most recently the machine has broken down for the 3rd time( in 2 years!). I filled a complaint on the 18th of feb 2011 and have been following up with over 3 people every day, but my machine is even now down and unusable anfter over 15 days.the reason given, the panel needs replacement and they do not have this in stock!


I really do not understand how a company can ruin themselves by providing such shoddy service. One need not be a genius to know that Dishwashers and washing machines are used on a daily basis and the breakdowns should be attended to within 24 hours max, for the life of me, I do not understand why this blessed company cannot get their reliability act right!


They also seem to have become deaf and thick skinned to customer complaints, I lodged a complaint on their website on thursday(3rd march 2011) and got an automated reply that I would hear from them soon- I suppose these guys need to know what soon means it is close to 72 hours now and I have nobody who has got in touch


I have a IFB washing machine which has the door assembly replaced 3 times in one week because each time the assembly proved to be defective; I was 3rd time lucky!


So folks, IFB makes great products, but god save you should this have trouble and need support- So do be aware of this when you buy IFB- DO NOT GET CARRIED AWAY BY WHAT THEY PROMISE ON THEIR WEB SITE- it is only a marketing gimmick!
