I have the IFB Neptune for last 5 years, it has failed at least 5 times in five years, every time it is a nightmare to get the service, I have a AMC too with this organization, still it takes a average to two to three weeks to get the system repaired. I have to reach the service head, now it is Shiva 9344011775. who happens to be useless in my case.
They will not have the AMC details too, so you have to keep the AMC receipt in safe place. you can call the helpline and find yourself that they don’t that the details of AMC.
It will get rusted easily, worst news is that, I have been requesting them for the outer shell for last two plus years, they are yet to come back with a quote.
It is a good product, spoiled by the service backup, when I paid Rs23, 000.00, I thought the service will be good and that’s what the sales guy at Vasant & co also claimed. It bad that there is no competitor for the product, hence we have to live with it.
You can approach consumer court for the service and I am sure you will win, and this time I am going for it, will tell the results.
Now "The cleaning part",
It wont clean the Indian utensil, it will never clean milk strains , you will still need scorch bright and Vim liquid, about Kadi and pressure cooker forget it , the big cooker wont’t even fit in. TIPs : change the way you eat and cook and your change Utensils too, then this equipment will be of great help. (you should be living abroad for this machine to be really helpful :) )
Recurring headache :----------
You will not find the cleaning chemical in all the supermarkets, you will have to hunt for it
There is a strain remover liquid, which also is difficult to get hold off.
You have to use common salt (with out iodine ), you got to depend on IFB service guys for this, rarely you many get in some super-supermarket.
If you have someone in abroad you can some cleaning tablets thru them, but this local guys will say it is not good for the machine, that’s a wrong information given by the IFB team, I have been and using the tablets with great success for last so many years, it is much better that the power available in India.
