After long search I have purchased this W/M last week. Demo person came promptly. But he forced us to buy so many things (stand, stabilizer, coupler, powders for machine and clothes......) which will cost you additional 4000 to 5000 Rs.
I was shocked and refused to buy anything. Still he managed to let us buy a stabilizer and coupler for water inlet. Literally it’s a kind of brainwash/threatening. This forced us to buy the above said components.
Stabilizer: Demo person said if there is any failure in MCB/PCB due to power fluctuation they won’t replace the parts even though if it is under warranty. I said I am having some other brand stabilizer (very good brand) which I want to use. He said you can use but that brand should be recommended by IFB. Then only they will replace if any failure happens. My father got panic and bought the stabilizer which I couldn’t manage to stop him.
Water inlet Coupler: Demo person said the water inlet pipe end (which comes along with machine) is having PVC/fiber coupler. If we connect this end to water inlet pipe (PVC / iron from over head tank) it (pipe which come along with machine) will get damaged soon. He said If it gets damaged you can’t replace coupler alone. You have to replace the entire pipe which will cost 450Rs.
So he told us to buy the steel coupler. It cost about 150Rs (more than market price). Even though the amount is not bigger, why IFB is not proving this solution along with the machine and why we have to buy this for additional cost since this is a known issue? There is no answer from the demo guy. After all he is service guy. We can’t blame him. IFB has to answer to this.
Note: W/M body is not covered under Warranty. I specifically asked my seller whether I have to spend additional money after booking this W/M. I was told that nothing to spend. Don’t believe your sellers word if you come across same situation.
If anyone is looking for less or moderate price W/M pls go for some other brand. It’s a costlier product. If you book this W/M don’t get relax have some more money in your hands.
