I am the owner of an IFB Washing Machine model Senator 6 kg, purchased on 16th April 2008. IFB had entered into an annual maintenance contract(AMC) with me on 21st December 2010, valid for 12 months on payment of Rs. 2537 as the AMC fees(copy attached). The AMC covers any defects during the contract period.
I logged a complaint on August 20, 2011(10:05 am) to your customer care number, based on which a person visited our premises and assessed the problem and promised to return for rectifying it, but did not return. We logged in multiple reminders(seven in number) from my mobile phones and were promised that the matter was being escalated and someone would soon visit our premises to take care of the problem. However, no action has been taken despite repeated reminders.
Finally, I had called the customer care number on 10th September, 2011(three calls at 9:53 am, 9:59 am and 1:23 pm) and complained that IFB was evading its obligations under the AMC and would result in a consumer complaint against the company, however, the same and a reminder on 13th September, 2011(two calls at 8:54 am and 9:00 am) also failed to evoke any action.
