We got the IFB senorita plus machine at a Girias outlet. We had done some good research on the product and after a good deal of debating over the pros and cons of Top loading vs front loading machines, we settled on buying the Senorita plus.
My In-laws have been using the same model for the past 4 years and are very happy with its performance. However with our machine, the story was quite different. A person from IFB arrived to install it and give a brief demo on using the product. He put in a few clothes for wash and left. Only later we realised that the washing wouldnt stop at all. The timer is not feather touch, its a knob and apparently was faulty. Then started our trouble.
We called the IFB customer care numbers over and over again, and they were the most unhelpful people Ive ever come across. After a dozen or so calls from our side and equal number of lame excuses from their side, we went to Girias with our problem. They contacted the guys themselves and arranged for a guy to come and look into the matter.
The service guy arrived ardently the next day with a brand new timer. And guess what? He coulnt fix it! He very easily undid the faulty timer from the panel, but coulnt replace it with the new one! This was heights. We were frustrated and went to Girias again to the rescue. Fortunately he was generous enough to let us replace the machine. We exchanged it for a Samsung top loading washing machine (WA 75 K4), which we are very happy with. We have been using it for over a year now. The samsung service is amazing. They call frequently to enquire whether we have any problems with the product!!
IFB definitely can do with some responsible and helpful people on its customer care.
