I am using IFB Washing Machine Senator 6 kg for last 14 years. The machine is functional but the long spin is not functioning properly resulting in clothes coming out wet.
I submitted a complaint or service request Ticket ID 1016824901 on 14/05/2025 and received a cancellation code and a phone call offering me best price for exchange which I refused. On my query that as to how could they have possibly reached a conclusion of it being not repairable without even inspecting the machine. Finally a visit was arranged and as expected I was informed that the machine is not reparable as the spare part support is no longer available. I asked IFB to send me an email as to the part which is not available and that the machine cannot be repaired. I have till now received numerous calls informing me of the inability to repair but my request for an email stating their inability has been declined. My query as to whether the service part is not available across India has met with silence as also the query as to when they stopped manufacture of the Senator Model. The service request has finally been cancelled on 18/05/2025.
I have initiated a fresh complaint Token No myIFB001138980 on 18/05/2025 but the Ticket ID has not been generated till now at 1415 hrs on 19/05/2025.
I would like all customers to be wary of such unscrupulous manufacturers and boycott their products. Even if I have purchase a new Washing machine it will not be an IFB for sure.
Earlier I had a similar issue with a 20 year old Samsung microwave and the service centre finally managed an obsolete part from another Service centre and gave a call informing of the same. Expecting the same from IFB would be too much
