The washing M/c(Elite plus 7.5Kg 1200 rpm) is under 4 years SUPER WARRANTY and in the warranty document, all the parts are covered for warranty. Under the limitation of warranty, there is no(NO) mention of rubber and plastic parts. Only mentioned the warranty limitation in painting, plating, and rusting.
On raising the complaint("door not able to open and close") rep visited on 26/3/22 and expressed need of replacement of door on cost. Copy of the warranty document have been sent by mail to customer care for replacement of door free of cost as per warranty.
After that Service rep has replaced plastic parts(outer cover assy) and charged Rs1651/=.Service rep was not agreeing and respecting the warranty document. Spoke to Branch manager and Branch manager and service rep only declare " rubber and plasic items are not covered under warranty" and they do not want to read the warranty document given by IFB. They said it is a regular pracice and regular practice is their procedure.
The actual cause of the defect was " three peripheral matching internal threaded studs had come out". In this connection, it is intimated that the possible Root cause of this defect is only the "inadequacy of reliable damping elements". Such plastic molded and rotating assy are bound to fail in any vibratory equipment.Based on this inherent design inadequacy and expected running hours only IFB must have arrived with a 4-year warranty(maximum) and committed.
5.Many mails and reminders had been sent to customer care and they send vague replies without studying the case-Acting like an unorganised sector.
