IGNOU, the world’s largest open university is blessed with such a strong faculty line that the course it prepares is world class.. I totally disagree with people who blame the institute for poor academics.in fact the material provided by them is so concise and effectively written that even a person completely unaware about the topics gradually builds up such an in depth knowledge of it that he no more requires any references.
These study materials are so useful that they can even help u prepare for exams which need special knowledge of a particular subject. I have been studying here for the past 3 years and my experience as a student is good..the only thing which lacks here is the support system..although it has been designed very well but it does not work efficiently.. the credit based education system which IGNOU provides is world class. the only drawback is that there is lack of coordination among its various study centres and regional centres. This lack sometimes proves very tiring to students who have to run from one center to other for being the work done sometimes typically like that of a government house..the system needs an overhauling and needs to be refueled for it to work properly and deliver its best to its students.. I will be writing more on it.. just keep checking..
