This is in reply to one of the user who challenges this iit on unidentified grounds.this is the newest iit of our country.it is in its developing stage now but some of its features needs to be highlighted.it has one of the biggest academic complxes among all the iits(it is more than half complete).last year two students went to M.I.T(massachuettes
institute of technology)from india and one was from iit guwahati.last year in a.c.m(a computer programming contest organised by iit kanpur)after iit delhi it was iit guwahati and all other iit were left behind.annually we have a technical festival called techniche which is supposed to be really really good.the annual cultural festival(alcheringa)of iit guwahati is among the best in the country.
iit guwahati has an isdn connection which is of 2 mbps speed.when the campus will be builded it will become one of the best iits in india.
