He is the man of music.He is made to create music to satisfy our souls.In mid 80’s the songs from his finger of magic , mesmerized me a lot. I was not at all inspired by any other music composers of India. Because the way & style of Raja is unique.
Whatever subjects he handled, whether it is village based, city based love story, city based thriller or a science fiction , the way he treated the subjects is a lesson to other composers. The special feature of his music is not only the tune , but also the orchestration which is really amazing and uncomparable.
Some flop films or unreleased films like ’Pattakthi Biravan’, ’Enakkaga kathiru’ , ’Azhagiya Kanne’ have Raja’s beautiful numbers.
Directors like Mahendran , Balu Mahendra , Bharathiraja & Maniratnam were the directors who could manage to visualise the compositions of raja.
