I received the free membership imint card when I purchased a mobile in Sep 2007. The card looks attractive and it is a unique rewards program that lets you earn points for the things you purchased.
Here is my short review on imint offers and their service & support.
When ever you purchase through any mode of payment(like cash, cheque, credit/debit card), you need to get your imint card swiped for the amount you purchased. You will be getting points for it. The imint card is very much useful for the people who use Indian Airlines or Maketrip often.
From the points earned, you can redeem to get cool gifts like electronic items to house hold items.
Imint has tied up with Airtel, HPCL Pumps, Indian Airlines, Lifestyle, Maketrip and ICICI Debit cards. They have also tied with the new online portal Buzzintown recently.
Other than that, they have tied with various top merchants like Trust Chemists and Druggists, Maxtel, Sangeetha Mobiles, GK Vale, etc.
What lacks with this program:
- Imint havent installed swipe machines at most of their big merchants like GK Vale, Maxtel. Ultimately customer losses points for those purchased products.
I have purchased 4 mobiles from Maxtel(worth approx Rs.47000/-, 2 points per Rs.100/-) and havent received a single point though my imint card number is printed on the Maxtel invoice.
Imint doesnt bother to reply to any of the emails sent to their membercare.
The points from HPCL and ICICI Bank are very low. Also HPCL limits to just 50 points per month.
The imint website will be under maintainence most of the time.
I have done a lot of business in G.K.Vale and Maxtel and have lost more than 950 points and have earned approx 800 points from other transactions in 4 Months.
They should work on these issues and resolve is asap. They should concentrate in giving good service to their members. Till then its quite difficult to capitalize on the market.
