Imperial Restaurant

Imperial in Koramangala is more known for being an Kerala Mughlai Restaurant near Koramangala club. The overall atmosphere is fairly good. You can choose to sit at regular tables and chairs outside, or wooden chairs outside. There’s also one small A/C room if at all you really need it in this cool city.

I go there with my friends and order the Shwarma Plate (55 bucks) with extra Kubus (Lebanese bread). This one is mouthwatering, it tastes like heaven. A variety of dishes, which we tried were delicious. The Kadai Mutton (Rs 75 for Half) is sufficient for two. The Grilled Chicken (Rs 90) is superb. I normally have 1 but I think 1 chicken should suffice 3 since it’s a big hen.

The Chicken Tandoori (125 bucks) aint bad either but do not expect authentic Punjabi cuisine down south. The restaurants which serve it are few and very expensive. Service was also good, and the place is clean. Yet another recommended dish is Seer Fish (55 bucks) with Appam.

However most of these delicacies start from 18:30 in the evening. The Non-Veg Thali (65 bucks) is value for money. It consists of 2 Kebab’s, 2 coin Parantha’s, 2 non-veg gravies, Ghee Rice, Dal and sweet dish.

The Ice Cream Malwa’s are superb. You can choose any of the 3 scoops and combinations, at Rs 45 its value for money again. The menu includes: Kabab, Kerala-Style Mughlai gravies, rice-dishes, excellent milkshakes, and much more... The food is really good. One has to be choosy here. Don’t ever indulge in Chinese (for that sake 90% of Chinese restaurants are actually Desi-Versions of Chinese) else you’ll keep wondering what you ate.

The service is sadly not up to the mark. They need to learn how to satisfy their customer. At times they reject extra Kubus or Shwarma orders saying that there are a few left.

However it’s worth visiting this place.
