Imran Khan has definitely been one of the most admired, adroit and crafty cricketer of our time.
Coincidentally I have been an enthusiastic follower and lover of cricket when Imran was much in action. Though the interest is fast dwindling ’cos I think nobody any longer ’plays’ cricket!
As every field has a visionary and a leader I think Imran was the same to cricket. He lofted cricket to new heights with his shrewed and intelligent captaincy. He was a real team player and always played cricket with the true spirit of sportsmanship. He redefined cricket with his ’never say die’ attitude by winning those matches which were thought to be out of Pakistan’s hand....The world cup final of 1992 is a deft example of his superior captaincy.
I have therefore no hesitation in proclaiming that he was one of the finest cricketer and captain of this game.....the cricket world in general and Indians in particular have alot to learn from him.
