General Saheb has always lived life extra large. So its only befitting the extra large introduction he has given to the book. Now, it hurts me to do this, cos even being an Indian, General was one of my favorites plainly because of his Charisma.
But he has got this book all wrong. We all know what happened in 1999 or 2001 or the bomb blasts but what was expected was a peek into how he held his life in all this. Surely he could have done more justice to his begum and family by letting the world know how they supported him. Now obviously the world knows his public persona.
A great autobiography reveals the private persona of a person. It is unimaginable to think that Mr Musharraf never thought of his family during the plane siege. This book fails in every aspect of an autobiography, it is merely a commentary explaining the rationale of his decisions
One suggestion General Saheb, keep it a bit less melodramatic next time. We are reading your life not a James Bond thriller and you would agree with me that although you have.
