Sequel to the 1996 hit. Independence Day-resurgence is another addition to the dumb and mindless hollywood summer this year. Director Roland Emmerich continues in the same vein his earlier films were made.(No plot, just mindless action and no real acting or emotions whatsoever).
Veteran actors are left to gobble pedestrian dialogues and even the better looking vfx are followed up with outrageous dialogues. The alien’s don’t look better either.The only good thing about this lousy film is the short running time of just above 90 minutes.Thumbs down.
