This review is written about the India Garage Service Center located on Victoria Road in Bangalore.
About 10-12 days ago my Scorpio, which I have owned for about 18 months, started making some noise while driving. It was just a few weeks after the most recent service which had gotten done at India garage, so I called the service advisor Balram and told him the problem and asked him to send somebody to pick up the vehicle and that I would pay for the pick-up and drop( a service that they supposedly provide for Rs. 350 round trip).
For one whole week the service advisor would not call me back or when I called him he had to talk to the manager and get back to me on what they were going to do.
After one week, when the noise level had increased even more, I called and asked for the service manager mr. uday shankar who apologized and sent somebody to pick up the car. Apparently, by this time both the brake pads and the rotor were worn out and my bill for the replacement I was told would rs. 9000/-.(don’t know if the rotor replacement 50% could have been saved if somebody picked up the vehicle on time).
As I write this more than four days have passed since the vehicle was picked up and I am without a vehicle. It took two whole days just to replace the pads and rotor(about 3-4 hrs labor max) then two more days have gone by where they supposedly found some problem with the starter and they did that for day. Now they don’t have a driver(apparently because they have only one driver and he does breakdowns on an emergency basis and delivers customer’s vehicle if and when time permits) to send the vehicle back, and I am getting the runaround between service manager, advisor etc. about when they will deliver.
And this company Mahindra thinks they can sell cars in the US . just two words. ha! ha!
I am yet to receive a call from Mahindra ever regarding my satisfaction with the service experience. Post service satisfaction calls are made by a low level India Garage person and the manufacturer assumes no responsibility and/or does not seem to want to know if their customers are happy after they have sold them the car!
Just FYI, I have a Scorpio CRDE SLX with 53, 000 kms and I have paid for their extended warranty to 100, 000 kms and I get all me service done with India Garage!
