I bought my Mahindra XUV500 from India Garage in June 2015. The salesman was very efficient, helpful during the sale process and did a thorough good job. Once the deal was inked though, he disappeared and calls for any queries elicited a standard response - talk to your relationship manager or service center, which was extremely unhelpful
Coming to the Servicing aspect - these guys are the worst. Believe me. Very soon after I bought it, I realized that the GPS touch screen was functioning erratically and the AC in the 3rd row was not working. Immediately in August I sent it for repairs. They claimed to have repaired both and it did work - as long as I was with them in front of the car. Next day, again same problem.
At the 5K mark, when I gave it for servicing, I again raised the same issue with them and they offered to look into it. Surprise Surprise. what happened when they returned my car 1 week later after "repairs" - same old story. I called them and gave them my feedback. They did not even bother to apologize but requested me shamelessly to give good feedback when Mahindra people call me. When Mahindra people called I told them the issue. They promised to look into it and come back to me, which again they never did.
Now, at 10K mark, I called them for servicing on 20th July. They said that they would pick up the vehicle on Monday 25th July. No one ever came, and they said reason is bus strike. Same thing on 26th July. I offered to pay expenses towards Ola Cab for the driver, but no response. By now they gave up all pretense of calling up and letting me know. 27th July no response - reason strike. Strike was called off on 27th. However these guys did not turn up on 28th as well. On 29th they call to tell me that the driver will come and pick up the vehicle on 1st August - a full 12 days after my initial request, with the promise that it will be a same day delivery/ return. I asked her how could she be so confident of same day return, without anyone having seen the vehicle and not attending the problems from last time. No answer. I asked why was no one sent to pick it up on Thursday when strike was over and the answer was that she was not aware. Can you believe it? The bus strike was over and buses were seen plying on the road on Thursday and this lady did not know the strike was over, nor as it seems did anyone else in India Garage. When I asked her how was this possible with the media coverage etc., she became rude and asked me whether I wanted my vehicle to be serviced or not. Very callous, rude behavior of these people, lying through their teeth all the while. Not sure what they do in servicing, if she confidently can tell me without anyone seeing the vehicle that it would be returned same day and I telling her of issues from last time. Stay away from India Garage. Name of this lady if I am not mistaken was Kalpana. Very bad customer service.
