India gate is among the monuments we should be proud of as Indian, the memorial reminds us about the thousands of known unknown soldiers who sacrificed there life during first world war. It is very easy to go there by auto and city buses, if you want to go there by metro then nearest metro station is barakhambha road from there you can take auto rikshaw or can take city bus towards okhla extension, it is situated astride of Rajpath.
At India gate you will find Amar-jyothi which is CNG flamed light. Visiters often enjoy in the pool near India gate, but I must warn you it is very dirty so don’t take risk. The best time to visit India gate is on the Independence and republic day because in the morning you can see parade and in the evening you can see light show there.
