The gate was built in 1931. The height of this is about 42meters(130ft.). It’s also known as " The war memorial ".
I just loved this place. The view of this gate at night/evening with colorful lights is just awesome. This is the pride of our nation.
One small tip for visitor is that don’t visit there in rainy season cause there is no shed nearby.I generally love the way the main square is made. Such a nice view from Rashtrapati Bhavan towards India gate. Really it was a wonderful experience to visit India Gate.It is a good place to visit in evening and early morning
