We were approached by sales team of Indiamart.com to host a webpage of our business, they promised us a web page with 8 images apart from the title & promotion of our page on search engines like Yahoo! & Google & getting top 10 search results for our web page. We paid them the amount along with the ideas of how our webpage should be built in October 2005, they used to come back to me repeatedly with webpage not per my specs & invariably would apologise & say that it’ll be rec
tified in 2-3 days, they even hosted my page despite my sending them a clear email not to do that till all changes as required by me were made. Our subsequent interactions with 3 different sales executives were fruitless, they would rectify 2 things & leave out 8. It took them 10 months to get the web page 80-90% according to my specifications. I asked them that since the webpage is expiring & they have failed to rectify the errors in time, they should extend the validity of my page by 8 months to cover up for the 10 months it took them to set it right, they refused. All efforts to contact somebody senior have been fruitless. A complaint on their website has also received a reply that we are taking up the matter with the concerned deptt & will revert back, which is not happening. All in all a hopeless situation. I tell their Sales People that `God save Indiamart" but they don’t get the seriousness of the situation.
