Indiamart is a highly unprofessionally managed company I have come across. One person posing as an Assistant Manager – Sales drops in several times to sign up a contract. Finally we signed up a contract on being promised some freebies and he collects the advance cheque. That was the last time I heard from this man. He had promised to drop in the next day to start work on developing the catalog. But he never turned up.
Later on contacting the company regarding the status of our contract, we learn that the guy was not an Asst. Manager in the first place but just and executive who was supposed to have been promoted to that designation a little later. May be the company was in a little hurry to give him the visiting cards with that designation.
However, instead of promoting, he was shown his way out of the company. And coming back to our contract, the company nor any of their employees are willing to honor the contract with the freebies as promised by the so called Asst. Manager.
I would caution anybody signing up with indiamart to doubly make sure about the authenticity of the representative and the promises made by them before handing over that advance cheque. Because once they have the 50% advance payment, the ball will be in their court for which you will have to run around from pillar to post to either get your catalog up or get your money back.
