Pussies without a leader

I have a great amount of respect for the dead and those who die for their country. But I feel the Indian Army lacks a leader.

If they had a strong willed one he would have taken over the country

and thrown out all these corrupt politicians and clean up the country.

Musharaff did just that but he was a razor weilding goon in the back streets of Karachi even before he joined the army so he has no chance of doing anything in Pakistan.

The same moral decadence in our society has crept into the armed forces in the last 20 years.

Before that their minds and bodies were numbed by the rhetoric of Nehru and all that followed. They were still insulated from the outside world and the chinese used them for target practice in Arunachal Pradesh.

During the Kargill war 15 ( not sure of the number )of our jawans were horribly mutilated and their dignity torn away by the Paki army. Our generals and indeed the supreme commander of the forces (president) did nothing and sat twiddling their thumbs hoping we’d forget. I never forget.

If the same thing had happenned to an Israeli soldier, the palestine territory would have dust and ashes.

The defence forces occupy half the usable land in Bangalore. Prime property is occupied by old, retired colnels most of whose kids are abroad.

No offence and I have respect for their services to the country, but I think they should all be moved to bigger houses out of town limits, where they can chill out and talk about ’the old days.’

Corruption is in the armed forces right from the low entry level right up to the top posts. Not entirely their fault, society has changed drastically over the last 20 years and it is the same society now inside the forces.

Old out dated equipment is handed out to our finest.

Ancient vehicles and underpowered, overweight and potentially fireballtanks like the Arjun, which have had so many bad reports are regularly sent to the front lines.

We’ve had so many Mig jets crash, I forget the count. In some squadrons 3-4 migs are kept idle and scavenged for spare parts!!!

Bribes are given and taken on all (repeat all) orders over Rs.5 lakhs.

The defence canteen is misused. Many of provision shops in the vicinity of a defence canteen get their supplies from these place.

I see civillian shop keepers come in an auto rickshaw and buy stuff worth 4-5000 every couple of weeks.

We are winning the battle with pakistan only because we have more people to sacrifice.

We are also staying safe because there are not enough AK47’s and bombs to go around all the Madrasas in India, yet.
