As if the defeat at the hands of Bangladesh wasn’t enough, Indian cricket fans had to witness a yet another defeat by the tigers.
Before I criticize our Indian Team, I would like to add here that The Lankans displayed their cricket skills beautifully in all areas: batting, fielding and bowling!
Indians started with a Big Bang; Jayasurias wicket was won quite early, and it was one thing India surely needed to win. But I don;t understand why we failed to build up the pressure and keep their run rate just below 4.00. At one point, the figured showed that India could easily restrict the Lankans to a total below 200! Bowling esplly at the last few overs was also not upto the marked. Where dot balls were the need of the hour, we uselessly gave some really silly chances to the Lankans to score Fours and even Sixes!
Our fielding was tight at the start but gradually it was going down the line! I need not comment at all for the Indian Batting performance! ONE WORD SAYS IT ALL: IT WAS DISGUSTING!
I guess we Indian Cricket Fans are also at fault! We have really HIGH HOPES in our TEAM! I personally feel really sad while saying this that: WE SHOULD GIVE UP THE DREAMS OF BECOMING THE WORLD CHAMPIONS(with the present level of performance!)
