Cricket in India has always been young but the real display of the right face has only been seen in recent times. It is ironically not the stalwarts but the Gen X which has taken over Indian performance in the recent Natwest Series. The flamboyancy has gone but at the cost of victories. The major sector which has improved is ground fielding due to some excellent fielders Yuvraj Singh, Md. Kaif and Dinesh Mongia. Moreover this excellent work by selectors and Captain Sourav Ganguly is commendable. India is in right gears to prepare for the World Cup in 2004 with a promising side. The young guns will not backfire.
