There is one reason I have written this article, that is to say that Sport is Sport. The game of cricket shouldn’t be taken so seriously. Yes there should br passion for the game but not in such a way that everytime Pakistan and India go head to head that there are mass riots and fights between fans and allover the world. The last time these two teams met, there was a massive fight between the gangs in our college. That’s not what should be hapening. I love cricket and I love Pakistan more than anything but I wouldn’t go out my way to go and argue about which is the better team. I want to see India and Pakistan play each other in a match which has the same as New Zealand vs West Indies. The match is played on purely a sporting basis no political or social tension behind it. The same should be happening India vs Pakistan.
Now to the cricket itself. Now that India has agreed to tour Pakistan, I hope that no bombs are set off anywhere to ruin it. Anyway everyone is going on about it being a one sided test series going to India and a evenly matched ODI series. I think that is correct. Pakistan just don’t have the batting to score 500+ in a test on a regular basis. Also it really is too much for Shoaib to get through that deep batting line up the Indians possess. Now the ODI series will be about to things the first is will Shoaib be able to get through the Indian top order if yes Game to Pakistan if not then game to India. The second question is can the Indian bowlers(Khan, Nehra and Aarkar) stop the Pakistani slog hitters. I mean Razzaq, Mahmood and Malik. If they can they will restrict Pakistan total which will be easily chased down by Tendulkar and co. If they Pakistani hitters get their way the total they compile may be to much for the Indians to chase down.
All in all I hope that both series’ are entertaining for everyone and I hope its a close series.(Of course going Pakistan’s way)
